A Look Back At The 2006 Season...

Amish 3-Peat in the Simms...Now Look For Back to Back BAFL Bowls!

Nov. 13 2006 - "We have accomplished goal one.  We are Simms Champs again, and we are in the Playoffs."  Those were the words of GM Noah Musser after The Fighting Amish beat 4U2NV and won their 3rd straight crown.  They are still perfect and are looking for that magical season.  "We are going to keep playing out these last 3 games, and then see what we can do once we get to the Playoffs.  It is nice getting the bye and knowing that we will be playing weeks 15 & 16."

Amish Off To Best Start Ever...Superstitions Run Wild Through Front Office.

Nov. 7 2006 - I am assuming that everyone has wondered where the weekly Amish updates have been since week 1.  Well this reporter is here to tell you that there has been an information lockout on us from that point.  Amish GM & Coach Noah Musser apparently is very suppositious and would not allow these reports to go up on the website.  "We are winning games, and I do not want to mess this up, therefore I am placing a ban on the media for the time being.  In a few weeks we will see where we are and evaluate the situation."

That was 7 weeks ago, but now I am happy to report that the ban has been lifted and I am able to give all the Amish fans the news that they have waited to here.  The Amish have started the 2006 campaign 9-0 and have earned at least a share of their 3rd Simms Division Crown.  "Today we are happy to lift the media ban.  We thank you for helping us and we look forward to great reports for the rest of the season!"

Week 1 - Amish Start 2006 with New Faces...Same Results!

Sept. 9, 2006 - After what some have called a "Mediocre" auction the Amish were able to start the season where the ended 2005.  They were able to beat the upstart LUV2WIN by a score of 95.5 - 69.9.  The Amish were led by some new faces for 2006. Edgerin James & the Chicago Bears Defense led the way with a combined 52 points.  It was a great start, but there is no time to rest as the Amish enter there bi-annual encounter with the Blunts.  That's right it is "Sunday Blunty Sunday", and those are always a battle!!!

Pre Season - GM Musser Makes the Tough Choices Getting Ready for Another Title Run!

July 31st, 2006 - General Managers have a tough job this time of the year.  They must decide on who to keep and whom to place back into Free Agency.  GM Noah Musser of the Fighting Amish is feeling that pressure, especially coming of a 10-3 season, and a BAFL Bowl Win. "You always want to make the right choice for the team.  We fill by keeping these two guys around it gives us lots of opportunities."  The 2 players he is referring to are LaMont Jordon, and Steve Smith.  "...Both are great players and we feel like they will help us get back to the Bowl." The BAFL Auction will take place later on this year and we will have to wait and see who will be joining them for 2006!
