AMISH WIN CLOSE BAFL BOWL!!!

Dec 26, 2005 - In the closest BAFL Bowl ever, The Fighting Amish got to their final destination, victory at BAFL Bowl VII, 87.8 - 79.8.  Eight points was the final difference and it came down to Monday Night Football.  "When Steve Smith got ejected, I got Nervous. When the Jets scored that 3rd TD, I was a little more nervous, but I felt like as long as we kept Branch out of the end zone, we would be in good shape. That is how it turned out.  I am excited for the players and the fans!!!" said Amish GM Noah Musser.  With 22.2 points Chad Johnson won the MVP trophy in what might be his last game with the Amish.  "I knew that this could be my last game with this great organization & I wanted to go out in style.  I gave the fans some great presents, and then gave my team a big win."  This is the 2nd title in the Amish's' history, and they join the Blunts as the only 2 time winner of the Walter Payton Trophy.

Amish Beat Blunts to Advance To BAFL BOWL VII!!!!!!!!

Dec 18, 2005 - The Fighting Amish have done it.  They have made it back to the bowl and "...have a chance to win another championship.  That is our goal every August, and we are only one of two that still have that chance!"  GM Musser and the rest of his crew over came to injuries to key players to still score 144 points and rout the Blunts 144.1 - 96.  The win propels them into next weeks BAFL Bowl where they will meet the winner of the Caruthers Conference.  "We do not care who it is, we know that if we perform, we can beat any team out there." said Amish WR Steve Smith, who once again led the Amish with 25.5 points.  "We got a balanced attack today, and that helped with LT and DeShaun going down late in the 3rd."  The Amish RB's might be getting thin with these two injuries, but we will have to get an update later this week to see what their status is.

Sit Back And Watch is All Amish Can Do.

Dec 9, 2005 - Winning 10 games and back to back divisions The Amish have had what some would say is a successful season, but GM Noah Musser and the rest of his team are not satisfied unless they reach their ultimate goal.  "We want to make it to the Bowl.  We are one more win away, and we feel like we have but our selves into a great spot, but we need to finish!"  The Amish have to wait until after this weekend to see who their next opponent will be, but when asked Chad Johnson doesn't care who they play. "It doesn't matter who we play.  If we execute like we can, we will be fine.  I will have a celebration for some team come Week 14"  The Blunts travel to 4U2NV this week and the winner will be a The Barn next week to play for a trip to BAFL Bowl VII.

AMISH GO BACK TO BACK IN SIMMS!!!!

Nov 21th, 2005 - The Fighting Amish have reached their first goal of the 2005 season.  They clinched the Simms title with a 115.9-67.4 victory over Team Cream.  That win added to 4U2NV's loss in week 11 gave the Amish their 3rd division championship and 1st back to back championship.  It is the first time any team in BAFL history has gone back to back. "We are excited around here right now, and we have a couple weeks to relax.  We know that this is only the first step, and that the road is only going to get tougher from here on out." said WR Steve Smith.  Once again Smith & Chad Johnson led the way to the Amish victory, but GM Noah Musser thinks he knows the key to success in the future. "Are WR's are going to take us far, but we need our RB's to really get well for our playoff push.  We are confident that LT and LaMont will be ready to lead us deep into the playoffs."  The Amish have 2 games left, and then a first round bye in the playoffs.

Amish Take Huge Step Towards Simms Title!

Nov 14th, 2005 - Not having LT & CJ, The Amish had much to be worried about going into their week 10 match-up against 4U2NV.  Their concern was warranted, only scoring 103 points.  4U2NV had their own problems, and the Amish got the win, 103.3 - 96.1.  The win gives the Amish a 2 game lead with 3 games left, and it also gives them a split with 4U2NV, making division record a possible tie breaker between the two teams.  "This was one of those games where you do not give your best performance, but somehow you still sneak a win.  Our defense finally won a game for us!!!"  With 36 points I would say that Carolina defiantly won the game for the Amish.

LT Finds A New Home In Amishville!!!

Nov 6th, 2005 -"I have not played in this big a game in a while, it felt good to contribute to a big win" Those were the words of new Amish RB LaDainian Tomlinson after a 40 point Sunday.  His day combined with Steve Smith led the Amish to there victory over the Blunts 147.7 - 106.6.  The 147.7 was the top score of the week and helps the Amish retain 1st place going into a battle with 2nd place 4U2NV.  "We have are hands full this weekend.  We will be with out LT & CJ, so we need our other players to step up and pick up the slack."  This will be the last week of byes, so the Amish are loaded for a run through the playoffs.

Sunday Blunty Sunday Part One!!!

Nov 4th, 2005 -"This is the biggest rival we face all year." said GM Musser.  "Forget records, forget playoffs, this one is for pure pride. We want to beat them, and they want to beat us."  Despite rumors that the Blunts have all but thrown in the towel this week, LT knows better. "I saw these guys in week 3 and they put up 150.  We have to come to play this weekend."

After Getting LT, The Amish Roll ZZAK!!

Oct. 30, 2005 - "Today I am pleased to announce that The Amish have a new RB.  His name is simply L.T.!!!" Those were the words that GM Noah Musser started his press conference late Thursday night. The Amish traded 4 players to get arguably the best back in football. "We gave up 4 great players, but in return we got a triple threat back who can run, catch, and throw. We think this gives us a shot at the BAFL Bowl." After making that move, the Amish went out and won an impressive game against The Builders, 115.2 - 67.3.  Steve Smith led the way with 31.6, and the new stud in the barn threw a TD and scored 15.4 in his debut."  "I won last years bowl and I hope to get back there this season." Said Tomlinson.

Amish Score Top Points in Victory Over Defending Champs!!!!!

Oct. 17, 2005 - "When you defeat the defending champs it always feels good!!!" That is what Mike Anderson had to say this weekend as the Amish took their record to 4-2 with a 138.4 - 126.6 victory over Brian's Bungs.  As it has been most weeks the Amish were led by their dynamic duo at WR, Chad Johnson & Steve Smith, who scored a total of 45.8 between the 2 of them.  It was a scary game however as Marvin Harrison still had a chance late in the game to help the Bungs win, but he came up a little short in his effort.  The Amish will get their first look at former Amish, Corey Dillon this week as they take on The Junkies.

Plaxico Kicks The Idiots All Over the Barn!!!

Oct. 1st 2005 - In the first ever divisional game between the Fighting Amish and the Idiot Kickers, the Amish proved to be the better team winning 118.70 - 59.20. The win keeps the Amish in 1st place tied with their next opponent, 4U2NV.  With NV coming to town next GM Musser put everything in prospective. "It was a huge game for us, but it was just that, one game.  We have to focus on the next task and that is locking up first place with a win this week!"  Plaxico Burress came up big scoring 37.4 big points, while the Ravens defense finally woke up and played like a big money signing.  They scored 24.  "We will see how it goes next week.  This is an expansion team we face next, but they are playing really well. It won't be a cakewalk, but we will be ready."

The Amish Start 2005 2-1 After Big Win Vs. The Fava Beans!!

September 27th, 2005 - The Fighting Amish have started off the 2005 season with two really good games and one stinker.  After splitting their first two games, the Amish on the backs of Steve Smith & Chad Johnson beat the Fava Beans 131.20 - 82.20.  "This was a big win for us.  We were able to get a share of first place, and now we start to play more in division.  We will have a tough season in the Simms, but we can do it!" said GM Noah Musser. Smith & Johnson combined for more then 60 points to help the Amish grab that first place spot.  This week they go back to playing in the Simms division when they take on The Idiot Kickers.  "They are one of the teams we are tied with, so it is important, but no more then any game during the season.  We have to concentrate on this one and go on from there!"

Amish Have Draft Day Party In Las Vegas!!!!

August 27th, 2005 - General Manager and Owner Noah Musser has to be very happy after leaving Las Vegas with what some believe to be the favorite to come out of the Simms Division and play for the BAFL Bowl this season.  He was able to spend his money and get the players that he had targeted for weeks.  And if he hits the Royal Flush with his last signing, Mike Anderson, he could be cashing a big check and polishing the Walter Payton Trophy this Dec.  "Our staff went in with a plan and a list of players that we wanted.  I can honestly say that in the 7 years of doing this, I have never walked away from the table getting only players I have targeted.  This year I did.  I am very excited.
The Amish's top player this season will be a familiar one, as they have picked Corey Dillon back up at a slight decrease in salary.  Also at QB they picked up Mike "Don't Call Me Mexico" Vick.  "I am excited to play for a great organization," said Vick. "I am looking for ward to playing with this great core of WR's.
The Amish open up with the Junkies Week 1.  Are you ready for some football???

Pre Draft - Amish Keep 3 Studs to Help With the Trip to BAFL Bowl VII

August 1st, 2005 -  GM Noah Musser said that the Amish had some tough decisions, and they were made on Monday when the Amish decided to keep Julius Jones, LaMont Jordan, & Chad Johnson for the 2005 season. "We are very happy to see these 3 players in an Amish uniform for the 2005 season.  We feel that with our budget now set, we can focus on the Auction coming later this month."  Now the Amish must find a new QB for the upcoming season, but Musser is not giving any indication on which direction he may go. "Last season we went after a big name Free Agent in Daunte, and we were very happy.  This season there a number of guys we are looking at including Daunte.  He may be back with us, if the price is right!!"

Preseason -  The Amish Are in the Middle Of Figuring Out Whom To Keep!!!

July 21, 2005 -  The Amish have a few decisions to make before the upcoming transaction deadline.  After making several moves last season that picked up some young and talented running backs, they can only keep two, and that makes for a hard choice for GM Noah Musser. "We have put our selves into a position that allows us to make this choice, now all we have to do as an organization is make it."  The Amish will most likely keep WR Chad Johnson who has been a huge part of their success over the last 2 seasons. "With him becoming a free agent at the end of the year, we may look to make a deal, but I really can not see us making a move with Chad.  He has been with us from day one, and we like that fact."
One other tough choice will be at QB.  It is likely that they will part ways with their top player from last season, Daunte Culpepper.  His huge salary is a tough one to swallow when you are trying to build a franchise. "We know what Daunte Brings to the table, and we really love having him.  Before we make a call on that, we have to analyze the QB market and see what is going to be out there.

The Transaction Deadline is July 31st.
